Hi Pam – long time no chat! It is Lori Lumley, from high school. I think the last time we shared a discussion was over this same subject five years ago. I am closing in on mortgage renewal (Nov 1) and am shopping for the best terms. I am currently with TD Canada Trust who has offered me a renewal rate of 2.30 on a fixed/variable five-year. In your expert opinion, is there other institutions out there where I can secure a better rate? I currently have 1.90% on a fixed/variable.
